We’re looking for staff to join us in a range of areas, relationships and employment positions (part-time, evenings/weekends/holidays and full-time) in Front-end development, Analytics, Community Manager and Business Development roles.
We are also looking to sponsor PhD’s (networks and visualisation), and support projects and internships.

Front-End Developer

Job Description

Over the past year or so we’ve been focussed on building a basic product to help us understand exactly what our users really want. We’ll readily admit that sometimes the front-end code has suffered for the sake of shipping product quickly. But even at this early stage we’ve managed to sign up some of the world’s leading Insurance companies as customers.

As part of our next growth phase, we want to overhaul our front-end to both improve our user experience, and also to enable the rock-solid scalability that we will require. In order to do this we’re looking for a talented front-end developer to join our team.

We are a UK company, and this role is London based. This is a full-time and permanent position based in our offices in Clerkenwell. Business Analytics Developer

Purpose of Job

Building algorithms for data mining, operational research and other data analysis algorithms for statistical, information and network analysis. The analysis domain will be financial and business systems and networks analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Design and implement analysis applications while working closely with other developers, business analysts and users. Help translate business requirements into a first class data analysis platform using complex systems methodologies, object oriented methods and agile process techniques using agile Customer Development methodologies.
2. Establish customer development metrics and marketing measures to underpin key strategic business decision making processes.
3. Help design business analysis platforms programming in Python and Matlab with experience in analysis of time-series data and large networks.
4. Evaluate, prototype and recommend analytic algorithms and technologies appropriate to different types of data and application domains.
5. Participate in software architecture reviews, use software revision control, use UML design and code generation and software testing to assure software quality and to meet user requirements.
6. To complete algorithm development to the requirements of the senior management.
7. To respond to customer requests for assistance on data analysis.
8. Where required, to assist in the presentation of DRTS and products to customers and other stakeholders. To assist in DRTS research projects and project proposals.
9. To participate and provide progress reports on regular basis to assist in planning and monitoring of development.
10. To assist in other administrative tasks associated with software engineering, monitoring and control.
11. To carry out such duties as may be required within DRTS Ltd and associated business or other instructions from the senior members of DRTS Ltd.

Lead Developer

Purpose of Job

Technologies used to deliver these capabilities span, Java Server based technologies, Big Data and Analytics stack, WSO2 Cloud services, content delivery frameworks and frameworks & a range of web tools, scripts and application models. The team is comprised of a diverse set of engineers with strong entrepreneurial backgrounds who are passionate about developing large scalable platforms,
technologies and experiences that will revolutionize the next wave of problem solving through data analysis.

As Lead Developer in the Big Data Analytics platform team, you influence the overall architecture and work on design of the Big Data solution and implement various data services based on WSO2 infrastructure, Hadoop/MapReduce/ etc. Problem Solving is central to our product strategy and you will play a major role in developing innovative mobile data analytics insights.

Duties and Responsibilities
You will have responsibility for developing data services, data feed and mobile analytics insight solutions based on open source technologies WSO2, Hadoop, Map Reduce, etc. You will be interfacing closely with the Product Owner, Quality Assurance, Operations, and Development teams. Delivery and support of data services in time with quality is essential.

1. Support design and development of large-scale data analytics and being responsible for implementation.
2. Support design and development of large-scale interactive visualization processes.
3. Provide hands-on working experience with Hadoop, Java, D3.
4. Work with data scientists to develop sophisticated mathematically based Hadoop solutions using:

– Pig Script with UDF’s in Java / Python / Whatever
– The Mahout machine learning library
– Native MapReduce using Java
– Neo4J

5. Acquiring and ingesting data from a variety of sources
6. Deliver using a test driven SCRUM development process
7. To carry out such duties as may be required within DRTS Ltd and associated business or other instructions from the senior members of DRTS Ltd.
