ExperienceMiner is used for Aircraft Maintenance, Gas Turbine Health Monitoring,
Motorsport, Medical, Marine, Automotive, Railways and generally where decision
support in data intensive domains is an issue.
We use a combination of advanced Case-Based Reasoning (CBR) technology with Ontology engineering in order to provide robust solutions for complex monitoring tasks. The objective is one of integrating large distributed data resources, and bringing the relevant information/knowledge into a portal to enable decision support that facilitates an enhanced maintenance and support paradigm, i.e. looking across all data assets in a global view of trends and behaviours brings significant commercial wins.
CASE-BASED REASONING (CBR)
CBR in itself is an effective and powerful technology. We have developed
a robust and flexible CBR engine that can be deployed within a distributed
environment, for example as a web service, and we then use the techniques
surrounding knowledge engineering ontology building and the semantic
web to ensure the correct representations of knowledge within a customised
interface.
The real engineering and customer value is in making the technology integrate within existing processes, making it applicable and relevant to users, and also easily adaptable and upgradeable.
Our staff have many years of working on this theme within Aerospace environments and we feel that we are well versed with the various options and design choices, and we are well placed to advise on how to turn experience, into searchable knowledge and on-time decision support.
